This weekend was awesome. For me, it started on Friday. I went of the trip to Chicago with my Spanish class and some kids from the Spanish classes in Tekon. I thought the trip was going to be kinda lame, seeing as how I have been to Chicago a ton of times. I was wrong. The worst part about it was gettin to the school at 6 in the morning. The ride out was alright. Met some cool chicks from Tekon, but I can only remember Tasha and Ashley. I don't remember the other chick's name. So, we get to Chicago and the first thing that we were supposed to do was some Latin dancing crap, but the studio wasn't open, so some of the kids went to the Hard Rock Cafe. That was awesome. The first thing you see that is rock and roll related in the guitar that Jimi Hendrix used to play the Monterey Pop Festival. WE ARE NOT WORTHY! Then we did the Latin dancing thing, which I didn't do. Didn't miss much. Then we went to the "Little Village" aka Pilsen. Pretty cool stuff. I bought a Virgin Mary bandanaish thingy. Went to a huge indoor flea market type place with all sorts of cool stuff inside. Then, we got back onto the bus, drove to the other side of Pilsen, to the Mexican Museum of something or other. Saw some pretty cool murals of important things and people to the Mexican culture. Learned the difference between art graffiti and gang graffiti (if you have questions, ask me) Then after that we went downtown, to the Magnificent Mile, and did some screwing around and shopping. My group (Alex Lewis, Brian Custer, Tasha and Ashley) went to the Virgin Megastore and checked out all the cool stuff they have inside. I bought a really cool Virgin Chicago shirt. Right as we were all gettin ready to leave, someone comes over the PA and says "Baby Bash has entered the store." And of course, the girls in the group wanted to go see him and take pictures. I can't say that I really like his music, but it was pretty cool to be within 10 feet of a major recording artist. Then we went to the Hancock Building and went to the observatory up at the way top. One of the girls in my group was afraid of heights, so I held her hand on the elevator ride up and the whole time that we were at the top oc the building. I think that made her feel better. Then the ride home. Oh boy, was that fun. Everyone was hella tired. Most everyone looked like they were stoned. But I stayed awake cuz Tommy Boy was playing on the tv's. But the TV that was right in front of me sucked, so I had to beat on it every few minutes cuz the picture would cut out.

Then Saturday came. Went to Battle Creek To see a concert. Got up there early so tha twe could go to the mall. I bought a hella cool beanie at the Buckle (yes, shocker, I bought something from a fairly preppy store.) But I like my new beanie. Its white with baby blue and brown stripes at the bottom. Its the only one that was on the shelf that wasn't either super small/big, or homie. A couple hours later, we went to this little church to see Kids In The Way and Staple. There were two opening bands. The first one, Disciple's Peak, was mediocre. The second band was Secondhand, and they were pretty cool. Sounded kinda like older Blink 182 (R.I.P.) and MxPx misted together. Then Staple played and rocked the house. Kids in the Way was the last band up and they were very cool too. The funniest part of the whole concert was prolly me and Andy starting a walking circle pit to one of Staples midstep songs.

But anyway, I have typed enough and am fairly tired. I want some pizza.
