[RL w/ Sephiroth -- I'll show you TRUE superiority!]

Nov 17, 2008 14:55

The worldhop had been easy enough to acquire, and once again Blackout found himself on Gaia, in his proper, true form, cruising low through the sky. He honed in on the coordinates provided, approaching Sephiroth's location, taking in the desolation of this quarter of the world and contrasting it to what he's seen already ( Read more... )

Sephiroth, expecting Blackout's approach, was waiting, his sword already drawn; the hint of a smile graced his lips as a black speck appeared in the sky.

"About time."

He held his sword ready in a fighting stance, glad at the prospect of the upcoming combat.

The living organic signature was easy to detect in the wasteland, and Blackout approached directly, not even bothering to bank around and do a little recon. As he dropped out of the sky, he transformed, looking down on Sephiroth with clear disdain.

Without a word he let his right hand evolve into his EMP cannon.

"Hmph. Shape-changing robots. Nothing that ShinRa hasn't already thought of."

Calmly, completely in control, Sephirotth shifted his stance ready to deflect whatever kind of projectiles the incoming machine would fire at him. If Blackout had expected an easy kill, he was to be sorely disappointed.

"He's perfected nothing like me."

It wasn't projectiles the cannon fired, but a something like a modified EMP pulse...with the added benefit of being explosive. The fact that he was using this, his most powerful weapon, right of the bat, was an indication that he was no perhaps as confident as he was trying to project. He fired.

"Hmph. An annoyance, nothing more."

With the hint of a scowl - Sephiroth perhaps also losing a smattering of his confidence - the silver-haired man was able to dodge the actual projectile, although the following explosion proved more of an obstacle. He was just able to avoid the centre of the devastation, but his hair singed a little at the ends, causing him to scowl further.

He didn't waste time on banter, targeting algorithms booting and tracking the progress of the organic. He aimed and fired again.

This shot was even closer to the mark; Sephiroth was barely able to avoid the missile, jumping clear at the last second as another large area of sand and rubble exploded in a dusty mess. His face altered perceptibly to a scowl, and he readied his sword for an aerial strike, leaping into the air with his blade raised to cut into the robot's side.

((OOC: Yes, he can practically fly and jump that high. LOL JAPANESE RPG GRAVITY.))

Blackout tracked him incoming, and moved to sidestep, though not quickly enough. His arm--the one without the cannon--lifted to intercept, and it was there Sephiroth's sword struck.

((Hahah, I recall! I know nothing about FFVII, but I did see Advent Children one time. The acrobatics made me *A*

Also, we should probably try to figure out who's going to actually win this, lol.))
