[Open RL--Putting the Pieces Back Together]
Blackout was not in good condition.
That, in fact, was a gross understatement, considering parts of him were strewn across the backyard, heaped in drifts on big, detached sections of his exoplating doubling as sledges or scattered about as they're rummaged through. He was missing his left arm entirely; his right leg was mangled beyond functionality.
Scorponok was very much in evidence and almost constantly in motion, skittering this way and that across the yard. Primarily, he was going through everything that was brought from the scene of the carnage in Nevada, organizing and cataloguing it, trying to identify the pieces that have been mangled beyond immediate recognition. His link to his host was opened to the fullest extent and the diagnostic subroutines that ran constantly downloaded directly into his processor. He might not have been capable of fixing him, but he knew precisely what was damaged. Essentially the only time the drone was still was when he had to communicate with the squishies his master called family, or when he was perched against Blackout's side, transfusing energon into him.
Having finally succumbed to proper stasis-lock, instead of the forced immobility Apollo had cast on him, Blackout was largely insensate to his surroundings. His main processor core was shut down; the only subroutines running were the ones that controlled his self-repair systems and kept him in touch with Scorponok. He was still and silent, except for the muted grumble of engines running on half-power and the occasional explosion of sparks.
((Blackout's probably not going to be up to threading for, uh, most of the family virus, so this is for any member of his immediate or extended "family"--or anyone else who might want to visit him, IDK--to check on him, pay him a visit, work on repairing him, whatever. Blackout himself isn't going to be too responsive, especially not at first, but Scorponok will be around--his bark's worse than his bite, and family should be okay around him unless they're Ares. :| Multiple threads allowed~ Encouraged, even!
