Ok, after listening to Zeitgeist a few times now, I've decided it's actually not that bad.

Really, it sounds mostly like the heavier songs from Mellon Collie and a lot of Machina II.

There are just a couple things missing, and something added that bothers me.
-Missing: songs of endless/hopeless love. that's kind of his signature thing, especially in his later music. He doesn't exactly have any of that on zeitgeist BUT there are still songs that are super dramatic, which is very true to later SP.
-Missing: numerology/astrology/new agey stuff, although it seemed like Billy was already heading away from that in Machina II. But then again Machina II was about the story of Glass (fans know what i'm talking about), so I guess that doesn't totally count.
-Added: He does his own backup singing. When I first listened to the album I thought it was on like every song, but actually it's not that often. I think it just realy pissed me off that it ruined every song for me at that moment. lol.

Yeah, maybe someday I'll buy the other 2309482034892348 albums when i'm a billionaire. It kind of seems worth it now. Good job space boy billy.
