remind me...
to NEVER live in a downstairs apt again. this is the second time since moving to cola, that i've made this mistake. i am in a VERY awkward living situation.
i moved in with Adam after his room mate bailed...well...it's more complex than that...but we'll stick with this dumbed down version. My assistant manager lives upstairs. Because of previous agreements with past room mates prior to us living here....we leave our back hallway door unlocked so she can come down and use the washer and dryer....now this gives her TOTAL access to our home. SO..when i'm taking a shower or trying to sleep in in the mornings, she'll come down and wash clothes. which either a: sucks out my hot water and pressure from the shower. or b: wakes me up when i'm trying to sleep in. i also don't feel like i can walk around in my underware and be completely relaxed. now the second problem is: she has a 2 year old son. they are insanely loud and we rarely get a moments peace. he's running and stomping from the minute he gets home till around 10pm 11pm at night..She acts completely oblivious when we'd bring it up in formal conversations...i've tried dropping subtle hints at work (which is awkward because i'm trying to maintain a proffesional relationship) Adam has tried calling her when the incidents happen, but this results in her being a victim of Adam's firm tone and her basically cursing him out and telling him that "he's a child and he makes noise" so deal with it.
SO..tonight...she gets home around 7:15ish and they wake me up from my nap with the stomping and pounding....so at about 8:30pm, Adam finally get's fed up and pounds on our ceiling. she then purposely becomes louder...so Adam knocks again. So she comes down her stairs and into our home screaming "HE'S A 2 YEAR OLD BOY>>>FUCK OFF ADAM!!!" then slams our back door!
What the FUCK!? so i went screaming after her...but she slams her door shut. so i sent her a text and told her that she is no longer welcome in our house and i put her wash room belongings in the back hallway. i also said that we will contact the landlord tomorrow to see what he wants to do with the washer and dryer, but we were no longer willing to share the living space. That she has been completely insensitive and intrusive and it is totally unacceptable.
she tried to text argue with me, but i never replied back.
she wants to talk civially without Adam and that her child was only playing with his skateboard that she'd put bumpers on and made him play on the carpet. and he'd only been at it for 5 mins.
A FUCKING SKATEBOARD!!??? in the house....upstairs...at 8:30pm??? and we're not being civil?

what the hell would you do...i have to go to work now with all this rage and animosity because she feels that since she's a young single parent, we should be totally accepting and allow her to intrude on our privacy and quality of living every day of our lives!!!
