anything's righter than books could plan (2/2)

Apologies to my best friend V. Several of the scenes here were inspired by the night she gave birth to her little girl.

Much thanks as always to the lovely 0penhearts  for the beta and for epic ideas for Troy/Abed shenanigans.

Titles comes from e.e. cummings.

“We can do this Annie.” )

-I’d still be following Thom Yorke around the country and Shirley would still be married to her lame-o ex-husband and Jeff would still be a sleazy lawyer with some rotating flavor of the month on his arm and you’d be off Grey’s Anatomying yourself all over some Dr. McBoring. And if you think about it? Those things all kind of suck.”
HAH. Can we make 'Grey's Anatomying' happen? Pls?
-“Well… what if I told you that neither of you was wrong?”
Oooh. Britta's been naughty. ;D
- Maybe there’s time for a snack break or… but they’re already moving out into the hallway.
I missed this the first time, but it's brilliant and hilarious.
-At one point Britta pulls the tie out of her own hair and scoops Annie’s up off her neck into knot at the back of her head.
OK. You made me love Britta here, and now I want to start a 'People for the Ethical Treatment of Britta.'
-“Hey, you got to hold her for the last nine months. My turn.”
Shyeah, Jeff. I'm sure it was *so* much fun when Annie had to pee every 20 minutes and got bruised ribs. *Men.*
-This smarmy asshole who conjured up a fake study group just to get in her pants is a dad now and holding this baby in his arms and looks absolutely disgustingly schmoopy.
Aww. Awesome.
-“Our baby is a genius. She does things.”
ROTFLOL That is so true. I'd be holding my nephew, and he'd do something and I'd go, 'What's he doing?' And his parents would be all, "WTF? How should we know?"
-Also: Abed/Britta/Troy puppy pile? My grinchy heart grew three sizes.
What amazed me most about this story was how *in character* all of this was and how believable, given the characters as we know them now. :::bows down::: We're not worthy.

Aww. Congratulations to your sister. I based this off the night that my best friend gave birth to her little girl so I admit that it got me a little emotional at times just to write it.

HAH. Can we make 'Grey's Anatomying' happen? Pls?

Yes. I feel like it could be a good substitute for "whoring."

OK. You made me love Britta here, and now I want to start a 'People for the Ethical Treatment of Britta.

Please do. I'll co-chair this committee with you. Because Britta is basically awesome and I love her and I love that I love her despite my feelings for Jeff/Annie. So thank you Dan Harmon for that.

I'm SO glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the lovely detailed comments. Those are always the best ones.

BAHAHAHAHA. OK, awesome. I want to go put an entry up on Urban Dictionary.

I love that I love her despite my feelings for Jeff/Annie.

Precisely. It's like the discussion of how Slater wasn't completely horrible, and then at the end, she was just awful for no apparent reason. It's like, I don't want Britta to be hurt if/when she finds out about Jeff/Annie, and I don't want Shirley to pick sides because I like the Britta/Shirley/Annie dynamic.

(OK. I was worried I went a wee bit overboard with the quoting of awesome parts. :)
