action; 459 stone street

[There is a small girl wandering the house today who has been droned for who knows how long. People passing by may eventually see her leaning out a window, watching the street with her head on her arms and a thoughtful little look on her face.]

[You're in luck, dear daughter. Today was the day daddy drank the normal milk. He's also been busy with trying to figure this place out to actively look for his not!daughter right after he got here. In fact he only met her drone for the first time a few weeks ago.]

Huh? So...you're back to normal now? Seeing as how you're finally questioning the milk, I mean.

Um, I guess I am. I don't remember being not normal though...

[She blinks up at this strange person curiously.] Who're you?

You've been kinda out of it since I got here. I was startin' to think that my new wife and the boy were the only other people in the house until ya came home a few days later sayin' you spent a couple days at a friend's house.

I'm your new father. I'm Felix Wal--....actually you know what forget that since we're gonna be playin' family for awhile I might as well allow you to call me Claire.

You're my new fake dad? [The idea of fake dads still doesn't sit very well with her, as may be evidenced by the little frown on her face, but at least a real person is better than a super fake one.]

My name's Yonah. [A pause.] Why d'you have two names?

Seems that way, yeah. [He takes note of this.]

Nice to meet you, Yonah [Head pat~] Heh...'n about that...it's kind of a long story. You see people kinda think I'm dead back home so I had to find a new name just so I could marry my fiancée.

[Aah headpat--she is okay with this!]

They think you're dead? [How strange!] I didn't know you had to get a new name when you died. Did you get to live happily ever after though?

You don't really have to...I just had to find one if I was gonna get married.

Not yet exactly, I kinda ended up here after savin' her from being kidnapped. But I'm hopin' that one day she'll either end up here or some day after I get back we will.

Oh! I got kidnapped once too--or at least the Shades caught me, so that was kinda like getting kidnapped. That means you're a hero!

You should get back then, because if she came here then your friends and family would still be back home, right? I hope you really do get to live happily ever after though, those are always the best endings. [This is said with a serious nod.]

Heh...Thanks, kid.

I wish I could, but things like that take time. As for family, Chane is my family. Sure there's still my brothers, friends, and Jacuzzi and those guys. But they'll just have to end up here too. I mean if Firo the one guy that I never wanted to see again can end up here, so can they. They are, aren't they? I already believe that Chane and I will have a happy ending. [You, he likes you.]

I guess that works too. I'd really like it if Dad showed up here! My real dad, I mean. He wouldn't have to go out as much here, since I'm not sick or anything. [She likes you too!] It's good that you're positive like that, it makes the happy ending that much more possible! Right?

Here's hopin' he shows up then. I mean he deserves to see you healthy.

I always try to remain positive no matter what. If I wasn't confident....well I don't know exactly what would happen.

Yeah!

If you weren't confident you'd just mess up or something, right?

I guess you could say that...or everythin' would be the opposite as it is now.

The opposite? How's that?

Dunno. I always just thought that if I wasn't confident my world would crumble into nothin'ness, I would've never met Chane, I'd never would've managed to earn all those cheers back when I was in the circus, stuff like that.

Ohh...that kinda makes sense! If you're not confident I guess all sorts of things would've never happened, huh?
