a funny taste in my head
We got a lot done this weekend, I feel accomplished.
We picked out tuxes and wedding rings, both of which I'm incredibly excited about. We're having dark brown tuxes, which are so new that I can't find pictures of them on the internet, but I know they exist... so brown tuxes, vests, and a really cute patterned tie, brown for the groomsmen and vanilla for Stephen. And Tyler, my bridesman, will wear a pink vest and pink tie, so no one will think that he just ended up on the wrong side of the altar. And by altar I mean large arch thing.
And the wedding rings -- I picked a channel set diamond band, very small, but I have small hands... the jeweler said that with the type of engagement ring I had, they would have to make a band to fit around it and then stick them together, and if I wanted a separate band to wear with the engagement ring, they would rub together and destroy each other. So I decided to get something a little flashier that I could wear alone. I had thought about doing that anyway. Stephen picked out a Tungsten band, which has more of a gun metal finish than the shiny white gold. Absolutely can't wait to buy those, but I have a feeling that if I had my wedding ring I'd just start wearing it.. I have no self control, and no one to stop me.
This weekend we saw "Smokin' Aces," which I would recommend for its gruesome bloody scenes (which include a chain saw). I was sad to see that Jason Bateman only had two scenes... but they were my favorite scenes.
Next weekend I tackle flowers. Wish me luck.
