My future at work looks great. They're hiring two temps to work up front, and we get to interview them, so we won't get any crazies. And they can't just walk away. And then I get to go back to doing what I like to do.
Like our current temp, who just let us know today that she's never coming back.
And we're going to try go get a temp from an agency, to just handle the phones and the mail until we hire a more permanent temp... but who knows if that'll work.
So for now, my job includes the following:
1. My old, front desk job, when I can handle sitting up there.
2. The OL Admin Asst job, since their temp has also flown the coop. I'm slated to help out there once or twice a week.
3. Handling the Performance Management System (part of Amy D's job, who is on maternity leave)
4. Doing the New Hire entering for Amy S, who is going on leave next month, but I'm doing this work so I know how to do it when she leaves.
5. My latest job, which includes all of my own projects (which is heaven, by the way)
So I'm feeling sorry for myself. I hope they buy me more things. That would fix it.
