Oh, thank you, thank you! This is just perfect! I love how you've sketched an outline of his life and trusted the reader to read between the lines, so that by the last scene what they are saying... is not what I'm hearing *g* Gah! I'm incoherent with happiness, I hope that made sense?

And can I add that I love how you've drawn Richard's history, with his encounters with the Stargate programme really changing him and the way he comes to understand the rules both overt and covert. And the easy, slow way he finds a relationship with Sheppard that's outside of the rules they're bound by, but in accord with his own honour.... *runs out of words, hugs you tight*

I keep on seeing this pairing so much in the 5th season. And I've thought Woolsey was awesome ever since I saw him on SG-1. I saw your prompt and immediately I was all YES! THIS IS PERFECT!

Yes! That soulful heart to heart in the infirmary... the cigars! Considering I can see a slash-worthy 'ship in as littel as a raised eyebrow, the Woolsey-Sheppard was like a bright neon sign, beckoning. But it's not really an easy 'ship to make believable, it needs delicacy and an understanding of the characters. Hence my absolute glee! Thank you!
