it is strange without todd here, though he was only here for a short while. harder to sleep in my bed without him there. the lack of joy and wonderment. i talked to him on the phone today, he said he's in a gloom too. but i get to see him thursday night! he's picking me up from the airport at 2am and we get to spend a couple hours together before his flight back to portland friday morning. the rest of the weekend will be rough though, but at least i get to be with my family.
lots of talk though, about futures and cities and plans and stuff. well, not a lot of talk, but for us i guess it is. it has been raining here for at least a week straight. what the hell! i mean, pittsburgh is warmer than buffalo but not that warm. its going to be 60 degrees for the next two days though. todd said it's like portland. so at least i know i can sort of stand rainy winter portland weather. unfortunately i still don't have an umbrella, because i think i left it at home. why should i buy a new one when i'm about to retrieve it? today i was rocking the raincoat, which made me really excited. i was filled with sidewalk rage by the umbrella users, who kept almost bashing me in the head. all i need is a rainsuit (with pants) like todd has for biking. then i'll be totally dorkified -- but dry!
classes are pretty good thus far. my middle eastern politics professor was apparently the ceo of a huge building company and then the vp of the bigger company that bought it out. now he teaches at pitt mondays and georgetown on thursdays and fridays. which is pretty crazy if you ask me. other classes are good too. more reporting on those later, as i am about to fall out of my chair from exhaustion.
so in conclusion: googliness and possibly nauseating love towards todd, lots of rain and classes.
