feeling ill
sore throat, slight fever
In the past 4 days i worked at broad horizons(bh) with the behaviorally challenged teens. i thought that since my regular job was closed for a week, and knowing how difficult getting time off is, that i would fill in at bh. i was not really prepared nor did i really remember, how much energy is required to work with these troubled teens. as my energy reserves depleted, i struggled to maintain the perspective that the mean, rude, outrageously personal comments coming out of their mouths had nothing to do with me.
anyway, i'm ill now and not working tomorrow. think i'll probably call out for the rest of the week, too.
