I was going to wait until tonight to do this but I have some time now before I have to get ready for work so! My little concert review, all under the following lovely lj cut.

So, um I got about two hours of sleep before dragging my ass out of bed and texting Natasha. About twenty minutes later she showed up and we headed out to her dads house. We originally were supposed to leave around six. It takes anywhere between 2-3.5 hours to get to Cinci from our area and plus she had to head to the Art Institute of Cincinnati before anything. After a bunch of, well um, basically bullshit (no offense tasha) her brother ended up having to go with us. But he had things to do (which sucked) so we had about four (ugh!) hours to kill before we actually ended up leaving. Basically we watched movies in her jeep and drove around being dumbfucks (plus we went to a park and played lmao) until we got the situation taken care of. Then we (finally) left.

We stopped at Taco Bell cause by that time it was after 11 and none of us had eaten ('cept me I had like a handful of baked lays. so good but totally not enough. well plus two cokes) Anyway, after our eating adventure (in which half a quasadilla just appeared in front of Natasha) we got on our way again. She was driving, Brittany was in the front and her brother Derek (is that how you spell it girl?) and I were in the back watching Superbad. Most of the drive there was pretty boring until we stopped to use the bathroom. After that D and I spent like...forty minutes talking about music and bands. Okay, I guess he wasn't as douche as I'd originally thought. He's actually pretty awesome to be honest. Anyways, totally irrelevant. Brittany told Natasha to get off of i-75 at the 5th street exit. Now Brittany was the one who copied the directions from mapquest. The paper clearly said INTO OHIO but lmfao she definitely told her to get off...in covington, ky. I was like yeah um the thing says into ohio we aren't in ohio. We would've gone over a bridge (or something) and seen that silly welcome to ohio sign. Brittany was all well this is what you get for letting a druggie direct her. Um 'cuse me I thought you could read? Well after that I was in bitch mode. She was going to try and blame me and or Natasha for it. I know it was like a simple honest mistake but god own up to your mistake or just shut up you know? Anyways we get...somewhere...in downtown cinci and pull over so Derek could drive. Which was funnier than Natasha driving. lmfao. I don't know how but at some point I know I said something about 'no no, your driving abilities. not your dick taking abilities. truth is, i don't know much about your dick taking abilities and they don't really apply to this situation anyways'...then he threatened to leave me in cincinnati :-\ lmao it was still funny whatever!! (we were watching and quoting superbad ummm ALL DAY)

oh did I forget to mention that we were following we the king's bus??? and didn't even realize it? d'oh!

okay so whole long story, we end up at bogarts and wait in line for like three hours. not bad really, the girls in front of us were annoying as fuck and one wouldn't sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up. finally when the doors opened we got inside. we were right behind first row, second row i guess you could say but the way we were standing where i was...it was a lot like i had front row.

Hey Monday played first. They're really really good. I know a lot of people compare them to Paramore and the truth is, the only similarity is the music they make and that they're vocalist is a chic. They don't sound a whole lot alike voice wise but I can say that Cassadee has a better voice than Haley. imo anyways. The entire band has great energy on stage, Cassadee was jumping around and shit which is awesome. I don't know, they're whole set was only like twenty minutes long but it was way fun and definitely a good start to the night.

Carolina Liar played after that. Unlike the other bands, these guys set up and soundchecked their entire equipment right in front of us, all with cl hoodies on. I don't know why I liked that so much. When their set started they took the hoodies off and they were all wearing boy scout shirts (amazing) with the lead singer wearing like the den leaders shirt or something (even more amazing) They have such incredible energy on stage, and they're definitely one of those bands you have to experience live to get their real full effect. They're great studio wise but live? So so excellent. Their set wasn't very long either, I think they played six or seven songs, but the entire thing was so good and I really enjoyed them. The lead vocalist definitely knew how to get the crowd pumped and ready for we the kings. I hope I get to see them again, honestly. We were so close that he would walk around on stage while singing and stand right in front of us most of the time.

We The King's came on after that. What can I say about them? Before last night I really only knew Check Yes Juliet, though I'd heard alot of their songs I hadn't really cared for them much. Um yes, so I'm kind of obsessed now. Firstly they come on stage with amazing energy, we all know that's important. They got the crowd hyped up immediately and interacted a lot. Since we were right in front and, basically, in the middle of the stage (where everyone should want to be! best spot!) I got to look at Travis a lot. I'm pretty sure I've never liked a redhead (aside from aaron gillespie!) so much! He reminds me of my friend Jonathan though, probably because he plays guitar and sings and um looks a shit ton like him. Their entire set was so good. They played skyway avenue, secret valentine, our town, check yes and some others that I can't remember. I got a we the king's guitar pick which is AMAZING but i always always end up loosing them so i passed it off to the kid behind me (he was freaking the fuck out the entire time travis was on stage so i figured why not. let him freak out more and enjoy it) I kinda wish I hadn't now, it'd make a sweet necklace, but whatever. The last song was Check yes Juliet and before they played it Trav said they were going to film it for a dvd or something so he wanted the crowd to go nuts (he should've known they would anyways for that song) with crowd surfing, jumping, singing along. etc etc. Well yes, the boy decided to jump off of stage and stand on the barracade thing right in front of us. Hellllo. Definitely touched him the entire time and he kept looking down at all of us and smiling while singing. Definitely my favorite of the night. I didn't get any pictures of that part, it was so tight in the moment because all of the 15 year old girls behind us were pushing like mad to touch him. Poor dude lol but it was kind of amazing anyways. I'll always remember it so pictures don't really need to exist. He's awesome on stage though, he's got such presence.

my favorite of the night, i love shots like this we all know that. (plus reminds me of that pic of andrew mcmahon i took in 06?!!!)

The Academy is was, of course, the last to play. I had told the kid behind me that if he didn't (or tried not to) push me much and that if he and his friends stopped making jokes about brittany's weight (he kept yelling share the water whale because a security guard gave her a bottle of water and instead of sharing it like i guess everyone else would've done, she downed the majority of it and then gave natasha and i a drink of it. idk :-\) that i would leave half way through their set and let him have my better spot (i was kind of on an incline so he couldn't see over me well cause he was about my height as it was) nevermind the fact that i had planned to leave either way to stand in the back towards the end. pushing was ridiculous when even wtk's were on stage so i knew it'd be worse with tai. and it was holy fuck it was. but...it was amazing!! they started with forever young and william was right in front of me the majority of the time. he kept looking at me and smiling after i'd take a picture. it was cute. anyways they did slow down after that and then into some other songs. i have to admit, i wasn't much of a fan of theirs when we went. i left a definite fan. they are so incredible live, and william is one of the cutest things i have ever seen. he's so tall and skinny though haha. my camera kept dying through the night, it'd let me take a few pics then turn itself off so i kept saying i would probably only get like three pictures of tai. um half of my pics of from them. thankgod the battery pack in my camera didn't give out until the drive home.

love this shot

the full version of this picture is amazing he's doing the funniest move but idk what happened to it :( it looks fine in the preview on my computer and on my camera but it opens up like this so :-\ stupid kodak easyshare haha

could totally be a poster y/n?

the rest of these were taken at the back of the venue after we left the floor during the academy is to get water and cool off

we went outside when tai had about three songs left. we wanted to meet them foreal and while we were standing there trav walked out but i basically froze and couldn't yell for him to see if he'd come over where we were lmfao :-\ i don't know what thats about because i walked straight over to where william beckett was the second i saw him but whatever. i really wanna see all four bands again, they're so so good. there was a ton of merch i wanted. the white we the kings owns your face hoodie. the tai tank top. the tai tote bag. the carolina liar hoodie and the hey monday hoodie buuut i'm broke as a joke so i gave natasha my last ten for gas and i bought us some water and that was it. we drove home, i watched half of superhero movie and then natasha fell asleep. we stopped for gas and i got in front cause i felt like i was gonna barf plus it looked like d was about to fall asleep the whole time and that freaks me out so i wanted to be able to gut punch him if he did. luckily he didn't and i made it home in one piece. it was an amazinnnnnnng night. i can't say enough good things about all four bands, especially we the kings and the academy is. ugh! so great!

as always, i tagged these. so sorry :-\ please don't repost them anywhere and please don't use them for anything (i don't think you can taking the tag into consideration anyways) without asking me. my digital kept dying lmfao plus i have about a hundred more photos that were kind of dark that i'm gonna try to play around with. maybe i'll post those later. a part two special edition black and white photo post of the show or something lmfao. jk jk.
i left a lot out of the trip, basically it was a bunch of laughing and joking around. but the show was great. amazing. and thats all that counts.
