It's a fucking great day. no, really, no sarcasm there.
it's beautiful outside again, and i dont have to be in to work until four this evening, so i'm out running errands with nick and got to have lunch with kimberly and charlene and the kids. I'm wearing some kick-ass capris and a tank top set that just makes everything look good. I feel tan, and I got a lot accomplished today.
i had a great weekend- we rearranged the furniture a bit and the apartment looks HUGE now. We've had the sliding glass doors open for the entire past week, just to let the air circulate through the house.. feels so good. Howie the weenie dog is enjoying looking out the sliding glass doors to the balcony and the pond below it. Harold came over again and was able to hook up a converter box thing for us so we've not only got tv, but we've got a surround sound dvd player hooked up to it too. booyah. this thing kicks ass when we want to play music loud. *grin* I can't thank him enough for it whenever hes over with us. Nick was out at a party with her friends Saturday night so me and Harold had the place to ourselves. Great when you want to be a little loud. We went out for breakfast to Ihop Sunday morning; I always forget how good their pancakes are.
This weekend I also found what my next year's tax refund will be going towards; a baby ball python, or a similar breed. While killing time waiting on Kurt (had to go to his house to pick up some pinkie mice for Beetlejuice), I held one that was about a year or two old at the pet store. They're incredibly gentle, and theyre just so pretty. This particular one was male, and curled up in a ball that fit in my outstretched hand, then he uncurled a bit and was being sociable. You can see the scent pits that trail down the edge of their mouth, it's just amazing. I was texting Harold that night about them, trying to figure out which type i would want to get later. Ill still have to research the color patternings available. Harold, at one point was holding Beetlejuice, it's so nice to see someone who's not afraid of holding them. I can't wait till BJ gets bigger- he'll be 3-5 feet long, and a little skinnier than my wrist. Then I can feed him whole mice- so much easier!
Off to run more errands and enjoy the beautiful weather.
