I am babysitting. And I forgot my copy of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets which I could have FINISHED tonight as Isi is asleep and Scarlett is in the best mood of all time. And all she wants to do is watch movies. And I can't seem to find Amy's copy anywhere - I found Prisoner of Azkaban, Order of the Phoenix, and Half-Blood Prince - and that blows my mind because I know for a goddamn fact she owns all six of them.
And all I want to do is read. I may settle for watching either Sorcerer's Stone or Chamber of Secrets with Scarlett when she finishes watching Scooby Doo 2. Ack.
I did see and very much enjoy Order of the Phoenix at 3 AM on opening day in IMAX. The twenty minutes of 3D (the scene in the Ministry/Hall of Prophecy) was ridiculously cool. I feel like an old woman but I was so over-stimulated that I could just about handle it. Prisoner of Azkaban is always going to be my favorite of the films but I thought that Order was much better than Goblet of Fire. I am pleased that David Yates is also directing Half-Blood Prince.
I have just about officially decided that I am going to be Bellatrix Lestrange on Harry Potter night at Barnes and Noble next week. I'm not so much concerned with a "costume" - I am going to wear all black and keep my hair down and big. Oh, and berate children all evening for buying a book about Harry Potter in an angry, unrecited, poorly executed Britsh accent.
