I Got Soul but, I'm not a soldier.
Today is a day worth updating for. BY FAR the best day of spring break.
So this morning, bright and early, Laura and I were at the light rail station waitin to go to New York. We took the trains all the way up there to spend the day in NYC, see the sights.
The first thing we saw was Times Square. We passed by the ABC studios where we could see the Good Morning America show being taped/just being finished. We also saw that classic Coke Ad in the middle of times square, and we went into the Virgin Records Megastore. It was like 5 levels of musical/movie nirvana.
Next we went down to Central Park where I quickly got tired and we ended up stopping for lunch at some small diner.
Then it we walked down 5th avenue, which is like the high end shops and all. Laura wanted to go to Saks 5th Avenue, so we did. She got lipgloss, I gawked at the fact that they actually sell ties for $135 that I could have picked up at the Mall for $25. Later along 5th, we stopped into St. Patrick's Cathedral so I could light a candle for the Pope.
We ended the trip by seeing Madison Square Garden, walking a little bit, and then heading back home.
It was a long day...to say the least. And the nicest part of my day was finding out that my tax returns finally were transfered to my bank account.
