I like what you've done with this prompt. It is very hard to comment, I had tears in my eyes as I read the last section. It was lovely to tie the lines of poetry that began the piece and that Alice would say daily when taking leave Frank, to their final leaving of each other when they lose themselves. (Though it is odd to call such a thing lovely.) My comments are confused, but that is because the piece was so affecting.

The earlier sections revealed an intelligent, sensitive, awkward and loving pair.

I was so intrigued to find someone else who writes Frank, and oh good lord, I think you've slain me with this.

He doesn't say his son's name anymore, because he can't remember it.

That just hurts me. I wish I could give you a more coherent comment, but I really don't know what to say. Amazing work, really.

i can't believe i scrolled past this the first time. i don't read a lot of frank/alice, but i came back to this and-- god, this is beautiful. the last fragment is chilling.
