Patersden

A slightly belated Happy Father's Day, or Patersden, to everyone who celebrates it. I hope you all had a wonderful day, however you spent it. I was fortunate enough to talk to my own father and father-in-law on the day in question (Father's Day is the same in Cohdopia as in the US, though we celebrate Mother's Day in March, on the birthday of King Primidux's beloved Queen Formonsa, the mother of his children).

My own father runs a shop in Cohdopia, along with my mother. It's a type of shop that I'm sure everyone who's been to Cohdopia is familiar with, known as a kamirstaar. Father's very proud of it! It sells a little bit of everything: groceries, stationary, toys, home goods, etc. My father loves nothing more than interacting with customers and thinking of new offers and marketing strategies to set our family store apart from the competition.

I've always been close to both of my parents. My father instilled in me a great love of people and discounts. He's a very good-natured, generous man, devoted to his family. He spent Father's Day with his grandchildren, taking them hiking, as he did for me and my siblings when we were young. Ah, the memories.

As for my father-in-law, well--! Danaus Plexippus XI (my husband is Danaus Plexippus XII) is a distinguished businessman and head of the Plexippus Group, a Cohdopian conglomerate. Some people think he's intimidating, but he's always been kind to me. I spoke to him for a few minutes before he put his wife on, then I talked to her for an hour or so.
