god i looked like an IDIOT!
So last night after band practice the band (sans our bassist - tired ol’ Charlie) decided to get some eats at Chilli’s. Dave, Ben, and Justin got a table as I quickly chatted with my girlfriend (she had just gotten back from Massachusetts with her friends). As I sat down with the guys I was a bit flustered, as I hadn’t eaten all day and they had already ordered.
Luckily the guys ordered water for me to tide me over while I waited. (Thanks guys.)
I only had a short time to look at the menu before the cute college-age waitress was asking me what I wanted for dinner that evening, and I was not yet ready. I looked at the menu once more as my elbow knocked my knife onto my lap. Thinking nothing of it I looked up at the waitress, more or less ready to order, as my hand went for the knife.
Before I could reach it however the waitress’ hand went toward my crotch where the knife lay. Realizing her overstep of personal boundaries she promptly apologized, but the damage had been done. She grabbed the knife off of my lap and I stumbled in placing my order. My friends went crazy and I looked like a complete idiot…
Every single time she walked by our table my friends would place their knives on their laps for her to see. Sweet.
