Stolen from Spooky...she gave me the letter H!
1. Dio- Holy Diver
One of the first songs that really got me into Dio. I haven't gotten tired of listening to it yet! It just may be the "Girl's Not Grey" of my college years. Only better. And it doesn't incline me to dress up like Dio in the video, but who knows, it may cause me to walk around with a sword on some random day. In the words of Dio: "LOOK OUT!" (Bad pun I know...O_o)
And just because I said that, here's the video! Just so you can SEE WHAT I MEAN! GOTTA GET AWAY! GET AWA…ok, I'm really going to stop now. xD
On another note, Killswitch Engage recently covered this song, so if you heard that one first, it'll be familiar. They kinda do a parody of this video in theirs, which I don't mind...but I like Dio's version of the actual song better. ^^

And...that was the first one. I swear, the others will be shorter!
2. The Birthday Massacre- Horror Show
Love this band! These were one of those bands I have heard of for a long time (this one, Freshman year in high school!) but didn't start listening to until a while later. I first listened to them in SENIOR YEAR. Wowee! I listened to this song almost every day in art class. If you have iTunes and you want to get the song yourself, I recommend the version on Violet, because it's a better mix of it.
The only video I found of this version was of those fan-made picture thingies...with lyrics! Huzzah! Just listen to the song, because it's good. ^^

3. Utada Hikaru- Hikari
If you heard the song "Simple and Clean" at the end of the first Kingdom Hearts game, this is the original Japanese version of it. "Hikari" also has different lyrics than the other song because this one came first. I love this song and her voice. I've been a fan of hers since the beginning of high school. ^_^
The video I found for this was the live, fansubbed version- and she sounds the same live. Woot!

4. The Smiths- How Soon Is Now?
If you watched Charmed back in the day, this was the theme song (although it wasn't the original version). I didn't watch that show (My mom and sister did) but I remember hearing the song all the time and I thought it was pretty cool! So around 8th grade, I heard the original version of the song on the radio. And it all started from there...I didn't really get heavily into them until Sophomore year in high school, as usual. I was a HUGE Smiths fan, as some of you lj friends remember. ^__^

And the conclusion!
5. Weezer- Hash Pipe
I first saw the video for this song on MTV in 6th grade, back when they actually played videos xD The video is pretty amusing, except when they showed it on MTV it was written as H*** Pipe, which I found hilarious (has absolutely nothing to do with the song-sumo wrestlers anyone?). This isn't the best Weezer song out there, their older stuff (and their new single, "Pork and Beans") is better. Even the single that came after Hash Pipe, "Island In The Sun" was better. But it's catchy, it got me listening to Weezer. When my little sister watched it with me, Weezer became her favorite band, and it still is! She first needed glasses then, so she got a pair like Rivers Cuomo, the lead singer's. Aww! ^__^
