1. Will someone please explain twitter to me? Like, in depth.
2. I should be studying for my Parasitology lab practical, but all my motivation has been drained. Ah.

umm twitter... you set up the account and follow people. friends or famous people or companies... all kinds of people and things can be found to be using twitter. its basically a website that you send a message to and it can send that message to mass amounts of people. its kinda like texting but instead of attaching a bunch of contacts to it you just send it to twitter and all the people who follow you will be able to receive it, read it and respond if they want to.

It's convenient if you want to do quick little updates of your day incase anyone cares or if you just want record of the things you did like a mini lj update or something. but i dont really use it like that, anymore. i mostly just use it to respond to other people's messages.

i think it's mostly convenient for keeping up with people that are far away, like tracey and greg, and greg lambert too. however, don't be fooled into thinking twitter is amazing and awesome. it is also very annoying if you are following a person who is talking to someone you dont follow. you only get half a convo and its confusing if they dont direct message that person. also, if people are having a convo and you arent interested in it or have noting to say you might have to sit through tons of messages coming at your phone that you dont care about at all. for example, i woke up on numerous occasions to 60+ messages just because a convo went on while i was sleeping, or ill be in the middle of class and my phone goes crazy because a convo is going rapidly taking place.

idk... its has its pros and cons but lately its just been very annoying.
