Here's just a little picspam I made. It's pretty crappy, because the caps were so hard to color but I thought I'd post it anyway.
I'm very much new to the Dr Who fandom, and to the Dr/Rose ship. I just caught up with the entire show in the last few weeks and I'm so glad I did because I love it so much. I was awaiting the 2nd part of David Tennant's episode like I'd been a fan forever.
This little scene? Perfect. I love that she was the last person he went to see. Yes, while a part of me would have loved if somehow he could have found a way to go through the parallel world to see her in the 'present' time, in many ways, him seeing her before she ever met him, was the better way as it really did make their story come full circle. It started with them, it ended with them. I also have to hand it to Billie and David. The way she played Rose with such an innocence, and David, you could really see the love and sadness in the Doctor's eyes at the same time as he sees Rose for the very last time.
I've had many ships end so wrong, which makes me happy that I didn't have to add Doctor/Rose to that list of disappointment. Because to me, the Doctor/Rose had a beautiful ending. There is much sadness in their story yes, but there is also hope. With the Doctor being such a tragic figure, Doctor/Rose should be doomed completely, but somewhere out there is Rose and her Doctor, living happily ever after. Maybe not THE Doctor but in essence it's him and with Rose/Ten II, it's like a piece of him will live on forever with her.
