Awesome! That is the only word that can describe being able to actually go to a Billy Graham Crusade. You know, I never had given much thought before to people not liking him, or even persecuting him. In my eyes he has just lead the kind of life that any minister of God should. Never has there been any scandal, he is who he claims to be.
I would have never dreamed people would stand with signs protesting him. That people would have the nerve to fly a plane over the stadium saying boycott Cincinnati. I just never thought of anyone trying to hurt this man. That was so foolish on my part. Jesus said that they hated me, and they will hate you. Billy Graham stated that once he was on a plane, and some students began attacking him, and the pilot could not do anything, so he turned the plane around, and went back and the students were arrested. I can't believe that I was so naive that I never even thought of him ever being persecuted. He is so world wide known, I bet he could write a book alone on the persecutions of being Billy Graham.
No one likes being made fun of. Constant judgement from peers, there to pick at your every word and action, and try to say you are not a christian because you have said or done this. When most of the time, they have no clue on what it is to be a christian. When to the one who is a true christian it is everything, and we are not paving a new path. Because Christ has already walked it, and made the way before we were even born.
What a wonderful atmosphere in the stadium last night, that of brotherly and sisterly love, one that only comes from knowing Christ. I do pity those who do not have this, it is wonderful!
