The young man who appears in the Nexus today is well dressed in expensive fabrics, a classy signet ring on his finger, and a cool, calculating look on his face. He takes in his surroundings at a glance, and casually slips a PINpoint into his pocket.

"Is it cowardice to run away from an abusive home?"

"Of course not."

Ultraman obviously noticed the other kryptonians arrival via superspeed flight. He nods to the fellow kryptonian and headtilts some.

He's professionally schooled in presenting a calm and collected expression, but inside he's making calculated guesses about the stranger, with a heady dose of suspicion. Others with nonhuman abilities tend to be criminally insane, where he's from. "And why do you say that?"

"Well. Leaving an abusive home requires a lot of strength. Its a Home."

"Is it?" he challenges the stranger. "Just because one is living there does not make it a home. Particularly if you feel unwelcome on occasion."

"Well you said an abusive home. Typically that means abusive parents or loved one. You are Supposed to feel safe and welcome there but even if you dont on occasion you tend to still have issues with leaving them. The sentient mind is a complex machine." He shrugs with a smile. "If you never really had an attachment to the place then I would reason the fear of what to do next is just as strong."

He takes that as an insult, even though it was not intended as such. "I fear very little."

"We kryptonians dont need to fear much. Thats quite true." He continues to smile softly and shrugs. Switching to kryponese.

{I am Elohe El. Greetings.... Kal if I am not mistaken.}

"You're not the first person to use that word today. 'Kryptonian.'" He says it like it's unfamiliar, and doesn't show a bit of understanding when the stranger switches languages. Clearly something has gone wrong with his education from his homeworld. "Is that supposed to mean something to me?"

"Hm. My apologies. I thought you may have gotten the language download like most of the others. If you were not aware you are a kryptonian. Like myself. Born on the planet Krypton. Sent to earth to avoid its destruction. The type of destruction tends to vary on the universe. And from what I can see of your genetic code and well your face. You are an alternate of my father. Kal El. Though in my universe I was the one sent to earth. Our world took longer to die."

Others, plural. How interesting. Not just the one that he attempted to replace today. "I know that I'm an alien. The details have been... kept from me."

"Not surprised. If I'm not mistaken that ring is a Luthor family signet. Seen Lex with one similar in my world. The family is not exactly known for its honesty or openness."

Clark twists the ring a little, an idle habit that he finds himself doing even when he isn't wearing it. "That's correct." And if Clark's sleeve slips up a bit, or if x-ray vision becomes involved, Elohe may notice a matching scar burned into his forearm.

"I'm sorry. I know a bit about your cluster of universes. I cannot imagine what it was like to grow up in that environment. I mean Krypton was a bit less open and free as life with the humans who adopted me was. But I did know of love and respect and compassion."

"All weaknesses. I'm stronger for it. A blade must be tempered before it can be crafted into a masterpiece." He doesn't even hesitate to dismiss the good qualities that Elohe names, and perhaps that in itself is an indication of just how bad it is to grow up as a Luthor.

"Well. No. But I'm hoping you will at some point learn better." He shrugs some.

"Excuse me?" It's a polite, yet disbelieving, reaction.
