"I... tend to look after my own." He looks a little guilty for it, though, after she's hinted other people doing the same are part of the problem. Connor rubs the back of his neck, awkward. "I'm sorry. I'm not sure I can help."

"That was my first instincts. But Clark would want me to look after the innocents, his friend and his family while he... he is unavailable to do so."

"...Why is he unavailable?" Well that's got his attention.

"Clark has been trapped in a jail-like dimension called the Phantom Zone."

Connor runs a hand through his hair. "PINpoints can't... reach?" He's shaky on how they work to begin with.

"No. It sucked him up... and I can't even reach him telepathically. And then it went into space."

This kind of stuff is so far out of Connor's realm of experience, he tends to feel like he's floundering whenever Clark's problems come up. He has to think about it a minute, and even then he's not sure he can make any constructive suggestions.

"Doesn't he... have some super-powerful contact that claims to be his father?" Because obviously he'd be better equipped to know what the hell all that is about than Connor is.

"I can't go talk to Jor-El. Entering the Fortress would break a promise I made." April is very determined with keeping promises.

He scowls darkly, and he's not happy saying it, but... "Do you want me to?"

"I doubt he would help. Jor-El is always difficult to deal with... when he is not talking with his son. A Kryptonian."

"Racist bastard." And Connor doesn't even know him. "It'd be for his damn son's sake!"

"The Artificial Intelligence is programmed for certain things Connor. Getting mad at him won't solve a damn thing right now."

She probably shouldn't put it past him to charge in there with his katana, either. Connor is perfectly intelligent, but he tends to be straightforward to the point of foolhardy when he gets really worked up about something. "Is there anyone else it'll listen to?"

"Right now I am more worried about trying to take care of the little things. Like helping those that need help. I just... don't know what to do about Clark and need to stay distracted."

Her approach is smarter than charging in to harass an AI, and Connor knows it, but he still feels there should be something they can do towards getting Clark back.

"Well... it's easier to shelter the victims than worry about the troublemakers..." He sighs, still distressed.

"There are so many victims. It is a little overwhelming."
