"I... tend to look after my own." He looks a little guilty for it, though, after she's hinted other people doing the same are part of the problem. Connor rubs the back of his neck, awkward. "I'm sorry. I'm not sure I can help."
This kind of stuff is so far out of Connor's realm of experience, he tends to feel like he's floundering whenever Clark's problems come up. He has to think about it a minute, and even then he's not sure he can make any constructive suggestions.
"Doesn't he... have some super-powerful contact that claims to be his father?" Because obviously he'd be better equipped to know what the hell all that is about than Connor is.
She probably shouldn't put it past him to charge in there with his katana, either. Connor is perfectly intelligent, but he tends to be straightforward to the point of foolhardy when he gets really worked up about something. "Is there anyone else it'll listen to?"
"Right now I am more worried about trying to take care of the little things. Like helping those that need help. I just... don't know what to do about Clark and need to stay distracted."
Her approach is smarter than charging in to harass an AI, and Connor knows it, but he still feels there should be something they can do towards getting Clark back.
"Well... it's easier to shelter the victims than worry about the troublemakers..." He sighs, still distressed.
