A sensible answer to be sure. "And this planning and negotiation never prevents you from taking the opportunity in time?"

"Not if you do it correctly. There's a certain kind of balance to it--learning to know when it might be better to rush in, or when extra planning and care is required."

"And when you've learned that balance you're never wrong?" Do excuse Lichtenstein's mildly amused tone.

"Now, where did I say that?" Aion asks with an amused look. "It's ongoing, and you never know when a very angry young woman with a gun will ruin everything."

Yet more amusement and he crooks an eyebrow. "Does that happen to you often?"

"Only once, but it was a very memorable occasion," Aion says dryly.
