A young man leans against the sign. He's quite normal looking aside from the long, blue tail with a spaded tip that swishes behind him. He thinks of his question.

"Do you have any features that make you stand out from everyone else? Do you consider them a blessing or a curse? If a curse, do you try to hide it and if so, how?"

"My green hair used to be pretty rare," a woman replies from nearby. He'll notice that a lot of things about her - from her hair to her lip stick to her clothes - are in various shades of green. "Until green hair color became somewhat popular anyway. My foster parents used to think of it as a curse, not so much myself." She paused. "Okay, maybe I thought it was a bit of a curse at the beginning, but hiding it became more of a curse than keeping it."

"Really? Odd. I think green is a lovely color and it seems to flatter you."

Lorna Dane smiles at the man. She doesn't seem at all fazed by the fact that he has a sharp, pointy tail. "Thank you," she says, watching the tail with interest. "How about you? Is the tail a blessing or a curse? A mix of both, maybe?"

"It IS both actually. As it's prehensile it's very useful, but unlike my wings, it's harder to hide."

"Which would explain why I don't see the wings," Lorna says amiably. "A friend of mine as a tail like that. Another friend of mine actually has wings, come to think of it." She pauses. "I actually know a couple of people with wings. Hrmm. Anyway, the one with the tail, he uses something called an image inducer to, er, induce the image of someone over him. To help him hide the tail. And his blue fur. Usually, it's Errol Flynn, actually."

"That sounds like an interesting invention. Sometimes I find if I wear loose enough pants I can wrap it down and around my leg. I'm thankful I don't have blue fur " he offers his hand. "I'm Lucas."

Lorna accepts his hand, shaking it with a pleasantly firm grip. "Lorna," she says. "The blue fur used to be problem for my friend, but much like me, he's grown into it. I don't imagine it'd be comfortable to have your tail stuck in one position all day though."

"No." He laughs. "Because it cramps up and then it starts to twitch and it looks like my pants are alive."

Lorna laughs at the image of that. "People must either be really excited or really frightened by that."
