Honor. If you require a more simplistic response, my favored possession is my sword.

Oh, ideas are fine, too - between the two of them, why, exactly? Are you a - 'knight' might not apply, but do you know what I mean?

[Closer to samurai if he had the term to make the comparison to. He's a bit older than that.]

I am one of the shitennou - a warrior.

Really? What are you involved in, right now? I guess I mean, is it peace time or not?

I'd have to agree that life would be a lot uglier without coffee. At my age I'm not sure I could maintain the schedule my work demands anymore without it.

That said, my chosen work as a vigilante is what drives me, what keeps me going and what keeps me from going insane.

You're a vigilante? Wow, I'm getting a lot of responses (two, I guess) from people in the martial professions. I'm glad it's satisfying to you.

The Nexus seems overrun with them, I've noticed. Satisfying may be too small a word. It's who I need to be to keep myself on the level. It's also why I'm too busy right now to come to the Nexus in person.

I know the feeling.

I mean the 'too busy to come to the nexus' feeling, not the 'vigilante' feeling. But I guess I also can get that, in a way. So there you go, that didn't make sense.

I guess...why do you do it, just the satisfaction?

The short answer is 'my mp3 player,' and there's no way to make that sound less shallow. Points for not saying 'air'?

Five! Points, I mean. And like coffee isn't shallow?

You said short answer - is there a long answer, or is that just one of those things people say?

Nah, coffee is only shallow when you go on for a while about your French press and your fresh ground Columbian beans and whatever else.

There's a multi-pronged answer, basically. I walk to work most of the time and I'm the bottom rung of my office so nine-tenths of my life is paperwork. An mp3 player is like a tiny sliver of staying sane, especially in the latter case.

Once my coffee maker exploded and I have to hide the stains behind a poster? It's a really nice poster.

Hahah, yeah, I know what you mean, and mine is just one of those tiiiiny little ones I'm losing every other day. Do you mind if I ask what you listen to? I'm trying to expand my music collection.

Everybody runs on caffeine! I swear :)

Straight coffee, or with anything extra?

It's true, it's true, I think I like it. I know a lot of tea-drinkers, though! Why is this, I don't know, I think it's the British.

I like a little chocolate in it, maybe mint sometimes.

Are you in a British part of the world? (Slash universe?)

Mmm. Mint and coffee, really? I've never heard of that before.

Not at all. What's your family like?

icecreamai December 24 2009, 02:20:11 UTC
I have two brothers, one older, one younger, three sisters - one's my age the others young. And our guardian. It's pretty crazy, sometimes they annoy me, I annoy them, but I love them.

Aww. If I were mentioning C-day I'd say that warms the cockles of my heart, but as it is I'm just heartwarmed. That's a big family!
