Davey's looking rather frustrated and a little shaken. His skin is also slightly inflamed, almost like some sort of rash, which he's scratching at without much success (although anyone who can see through a changeling Mask might note that he's not actually doing much damage to himself, since he doesn't really have fingernails

The lich thinks about the questions in silence. Alright, so he's actually thinking about what caused the rash and whether he could fix it. But he does do a little thinking about the questions too.

"By finding one of those opportune moments to take him aside and point that out to him. Showing him he's helping less than he thinks. Talking is all well and good, but people understand better when you use a visual aid."

"Figure them out. Overexposure leads to familiarity. Familiarity leads to understanding. It's not as easy to fear something you understand. You just end up wary of it."

"He hasn't shown much inclination to listen to reason so far. So far he's opened at least three doors that he really shouldn't have, nearly been kidnapped and tortured, and come within an inch of death from burning." He sighs. "I mean, we're part of a group that doesn't shrink from danger, but there's a difference between courage and stupidity."

He shakes his head. "I'm really familiar with the reason I'm afraid of this guy. I'm not sure it'll help."

"Have you shoved it in his face yet? You could always attempt to get him to say something hypocritical. People hate it when you do that."

"And why are you afraid of him?"

"Guess it's worth a try." He sighed. "A couple of others have tried, but you never know."

Davey winces slightly. "It's... a long story. Let's just say he looks and acts like something I have a really good reason to be afraid of." Not that he actually has a good idea of how the guy acts, but given that he was a hit man it's a decent chance. "And he'd probably enjoy it if he found out I was afraid of him."

[aw_sludge]

"Any chance of having him locked up?" Ratchet flips a lens down over one optic to have a closer look at the rash. "And... I'd probably avoid 'em."

That last is said quietly. Ratchet's not at his best or bravest right now.

"I'm starting to think we ought to. Like I said, if the guy didn't outrank me and couldn't easily overpower me I'd probably put a leash on him."

He settles down a little at Ratchet's tone. "That's what I've been doing. He's in the infirmary right now - someone cut him up pretty good - but I'm gonna have to actually work with him at some point."

The rash just looks like he's mildly inflamed from something - in fact it's from being in a building filled with asbestos, to the point that he was covered in white when he came out.

"Go to the higher ups about hero boy." A readout appears on Ratchet's chest as he considers what the scan has picked up. The old mech sighs. "Then... just intake deeply. A lot. I have goop that'll help with that inflammation. You want some?"

"I guess I'll have to. I mean, sacrificing himself for the good of the group is one thing, but he keeps doing it even when it's pointless."

He shook his head. "It's fine. I got all the stuff washed off fine, it's just going to itch for a while. A couple of friends of mine have it worse." Since they have fur and all.

[swindle_blitz]

"I wish I knew, one of my old teammates was like that," says a Swindle, "Are you...going to be okay?"

This Swindle, at least, doesn't feel fae at all...and he's got blue optics. Different Swindle from the one you met before, Davey.

"What, running into danger or something you're afraid of."

He blinks. "Uh, sure. I'll be fine. Why?" He notices the different feeling, and the different eyes. "You're, uh, Swindle, right?"

[swindle_blitz]

"Running into danger. He's offline now, all my former team are," Swindle says, "You look...well, humans don't normally have that reddish skin like that, do they?" At the mention of his name, he nods, "Yes, I'm Swindle. You've met one before?"

"Oh..."

Davey shook his head. "It's fine. Got into a fight in a building full of asbestos. Managed to hold my breath most of the time, but I had to get rid of the clothes I was wearing and it itches like hell."
