The Jack Harkness who enters the Nexus this particular evening looks like he's seen better days, to be honest. "I tend to, uh, build things that usually don't work." This is not entirely true. Sebastian's bizarrely tinkered vacuums and blenders tend to settle into cheap, entertaining toy cars on a regular basis.

"I've been making a bunch of small toys. Mostly cars, little racing things, a couple of boats." He just likes to tinker around and fix things.

"Hey, neither do I." Jack shrugs. "I run a night club, but it's not really all the glitz and booze people think it is. I do a lot of work on the books and with our advertising. Payroll, too. It's real boring."
