A drowsy-looking young man has been wandering through the Nexus for half an hour or so, watching everything with mild interest and not-so-mild amusement. He reaches The Sign, squints at it for a moment, and then gives it an elaborate bow that doesn't go well with his tee-shirt and jeans. "At your command! I once knew a woman who kept above her bed a sign that read 'I would there were no age between sixteen and three-and-twenty, or that youth would sleep out the rest; for there is nothing in the between but getting wenches with child, wronging the ancientry, stealing, fighting.' I'm sure she had her reasons, whatever they were. What would you put above your bed? Or," sigh, "if you must be a critic, what do you think of the words?"
