And so it seems that the seemingly-paranoid (but fully justified) blonde witch woman is becoming a fixture around the Nexus. It's probably due in some part to the fact that she's found the portal-thing of magic and wonder. It's always the fireplace, isn't it ( Read more... )

"I still loved him. I simply was not going to stand by and let him do...what he was doing."

Angelique takes a breath before answering. It's almost as though she doesn't want to face the subject herself. "And what did you do?"

"I did what was necessary to help those he was after get away from him. It was....not a pleasant experience. Miss, have you seen a doctor?"

"He," Angelique answers almost immediately - too quickly, in fact. And then she pauses to rethink it over, because while she gave the most obvious answer that's technically true, well...

She sighs. "At this point, I can't be certain."

Oh. Talking snake. Normally, Angelique would find this almost unsettling, but she's a little bit too stressed to care at this point in time.

"Therefore, since he has become a threat to others and myself, I should kill him? Is that what you mean?"

She shakes her head. "No," she replies. "In fact, I was afraid that that might be the only way."

"What happened this time?" Dean asks from the opposite sofa, feet kicked up on the coffee table (dirty biker boots leaving a mess on the wood) and shades over his eyes because yeah, it's been that kind of night. He hasn't slept yet or anything like that, and as he pulls a bag of peanut M&Ms from his jeans pocket, he yawns. Then his stomach rumbles. Typical.

He hasn't noticed the blood yet because, uhm, he's just not that alert at the moment.

Oh, look. Dean. Not gonna lie, she's kind of happy to see him. After a night of arguing with her father-in-law and her husband dying, she could use some modern slang that she doesn't understand.

And, of course, she thinks he's talking about her bandage, and she pulls her nightgown further up on her shoulder so that it's more hidden. "Nothing, Monsieur."

Dean slides off the sunglasses to reveal a nasty cut under his eye, and as he peers at her with the injured one closed, he sees the blood on her nightie and a peek of a bandage. He frowns darkly and leans up.

"Who hurt you?" He asks through a mouthful of M&Ms, offering the bag over to Angelique. He's pretty concerned, not going to deny, but he has a casual way of showing it. "So I know who's ass to beat."

Her eyes shift nervously, but she takes the bag of M&Ms, taking her time getting some as she comes up with a cover story.

"Oh, this?" She motions to her shoulder. "It was nothing - I was cleaning, and I broke a vase, cutting my shoulder. How clumsy of me." Insert unconvincing laughter here as she hands the bag back. And then, a look of concern. "Your eye!"
