Twisting, she ducks under a low-hanging plant hanger full of something fuzzy and blue, and then blinks. "You know, I could have sworn there was a stairway right" She twists behind her. "Or was it there?"

With a grin she wipes her hands on her jeans, sauntering over as she had known where it was all along.

"Well, it wasn't hard to miss if you were looking over here, Luc. Which of course I wasn't. But hey, I'm here now! Sorry I was so late" She adds, trying to covertly wipe off some of the dirt off her upper pant leg. "Got a little turned around."

Someone is trying hard not to laugh, and mostly succeeding, but can't wipe the grin from his face.

"There aren't that many familiar faces left these days, let alone any as cute as yours.

"I'm fine, though I'm not around much to get into trouble these days. What brings you back to the nexus after such a long absence?"

It's great to see a familiar face after so long, it brought back old timea and - oh wait just a second! He did NOT just call her cute, did he? She stops short of glaring, barely.

"Guess I was cute back when I was a kid" She says far to casually. The implication is of course, that's she's all grown up now.

"Honestly? Got tired of being a loner. Guess it was just time. So why you keeping out of trouble? Or are you just getting into trouble some place else now?"

Gambit smiles a little to himself upon seeing the lady, this is exactly why he loves the Nexus. No end to the beautiful women he meets.

"Usually I walk, Miss. Sometimes I ride a motorcycle though." He casts her his best Gambit Grin.

"I b'lieve de shoe you're lookin' for be jus' down dat way, chere." He points to what may be it. "Seems t'be hidden b'hind a statue o'... some alien t'ing though. Understandably hard t'find."

"Could have ridden a motorcycle but" she stares down at her still soaking boots "I was afraid I might take a wrong turn and end up falling through a sink hole or a hidden portal or something."

"Or a brand new lake" She says in afterthought.

Nodding, she looks in the direction he's pointing. "Gotcha Big red shoe is behind a big alien statue." Could that be it down the way there? She almost sees it, she thinks.

You didn't say his name, but you probably didn't need to, Leela.

Derek sees her, but he also sees others helping, so instead, he takes advantage of a large boulder and crouches on top of it, quietly watching...and waiting.

Could be he's trying to see how long it takes for her to notice him.
