There is a May crawling the Nexus walls. Nothing extraordinary about this, really, although the box of decorations she's carrying are new. She hums as she hangs things up around the Nexus - stockings, wreaths, mistletoe, ornaments - before leaping down to ask a question ( Read more... )

Ned finds his feet quite uncooperative.

This makes him quite angry, though he doesn't yell or shout or any of the sort. He instead crosses his arms across his chest and looks annoyed. He does keep trying to move his feet, experimentally, every so often. He's just assuming that it's the fault of those little plants up there, which will thus be receiving his wrath once he can move.

"Yes," Ned says shortly, impatient for witticisms. "If you don't have a solution, I'll thank you to not bother me. If you do, then I'll thank you to help."

Cranky Ned is Cranky. Also unamused.

"..." He starts to laugh. Not at the absurdity of the situation or anything, though, absurd as it may be. "This is a very weird place," he says, still grinning crookedly and shaking his head. "Fine, give it a try." If it doesn't, he'll just give Gerald a cuffing for taking advantage of a poor man in a distressed state (Hah!).

...Aaah. Ned would shift awkwardly at the start if he were able to move his feet but once it becomes clear that Gerald's not making it a quick grab'n'go, as it were, he takes what control of it as he can, grabbing the front of Gerald's shirt as much to control the distance between them as to keep them both balanced.

Ned sort of lurches against Gerald at the leg-curl, in a way to feel like it's Gerald he's trying to meet, testing how much he's struggling. He backs off with a satisfied sound, hand still on Gerald's shirt, and looks down at his feet. "Seems thanks are owed," he says mildly, looking back up at the man.

"I don't like owing," Ned shrugs and moves his feet some more, taking a few steps to either side to confirm yes, he can move. He let's go fo Gerald's shirt, and meets his gaze squarely. "I'm Ned."

"Annoying, isn't it?" says Teatime cheerfully.

Oh gods, this guy. "Very," he says shortly, not looking directly into the crazy at the man.

"And there's this annoying creepy guy who wants to kiss everyone."

"Can't imagine what that's like," he says blandly, stance apparently lazy and uncaring.

"He says he's a dentist, but I don't think most dentists try to kiss people at random . . ."

No, he's not sure. He's weird like that.
