This would be Watson having entered the Nexus, yes, Dr. John H. Watson, lodger, friend and colleague of the famous Sherlock Holmes. He looked very tired and worn today, but a man like him kept up his appearances no matter what the situation and so simply had his bowler hat lowered further down on his head. Passing into unknown dimensions was not on the good doctor's schedule today, but he seemed to take it as well as he could into stride; too much time with Holmes gave you a much more open idea of impossible things that could end up being fantastically possible.
He does look rather lost, however, standing in his unknown part of space with his cane still raised in the air as if waiting for the next step, to proceed on with the function of walking that he had been doing. His black doctor's bag is still in hand, from the house he's just come from. And while his question should in all purposes have been "How on Earth did I get here?", it actually turned out to be,
"Do you not wonder how we end up to be the people we are?"
