It's Samus's first time in the Nexus. Her first instinct is to kick back and watch what other people do. When she was younger, she would have gone up to someone and asked - at gunpoint, if she felt like it - what the hell was going on.
Maybe the change of career has mellowed her. Maybe it's just getting older. Either way, she figures out enough to know she's in no immediate danger. There's been a question on her mind for a few weeks, and now's as good a time as any to ask:
"Say you can decide between a life filled with adventure, adrenaline and death, and one filled with safety, comfort and monotonous paperwork. Which one would you choose and why?"
