Victor shook her head. "Home's home. I mean... I still sometimes live on my homeworld, even though I can't really go out and about when I'm there."

Little Jude was sitting next to Victor on a Convenient Nexus Couch, pushing a tiny toy hovercraft and making whirring-zoomy sounds.

Shard nodded, smiling a little bit. "That's true. No matter what, it's still home. And I miss my brother."

"Totally. I so know what you mean." Small smile, and she grabbed another hovercraft toy 'car' out of her purse and handed it to Jude. Now he could race them!

She glanced at Jude, then back to Vic. "He's cute." Yes, she likes little robot boys!

Victor beamed proudly. "Thank you!" Then she nudged Jude, who was engrossed in his hoverrace. "Say thank you."

Jude beeped up at Shard, eyes brightening into a more glowy blue.

Shard couldn't help but laugh a bit. "You're welcome."

She covered up a giggle with the back of her hand, tipped her hat. "Ah yeah, and there's the family resemblance." Right, Victor. Right.

"I can see it." Of course Shard can. >.> It's in the eyes. "You seem to be doing a good job with him."

[victormakesart]

"Well, thank you! He makes it easy to be good." She grinned, edged one of the hoverdealios back onto the couch with her pointer finger.

Shard smiled. "That's awesome, really. I'm sure every parent wishes they could have a child so well behaved."

[victormakesart]

"Oh yeah. It's by raising not construction, though. I wanted to make him as developmentally human as possible in terms of free will and morality and learning."

Jude whirred. Mo-o-o-om. Then he stacked the hoverthings. They wobbled. Wobbled. Then slowly tipped over.

"Understandable. And you seem to be doing an excellent job of it so far."

[victormakesart]

"Well, thank you very much. I'm Victor Allen, by the way. This little fellow is Jude."

Beep-buzz as in yes-I-am.

"Nice to meet you, Victor. You too, Jude. I'm Shard." She holds out her hand to shake. With a name like hers, you don't even blink when other people have odd ones.

Victor reached out, shook her hand. "Pleased to meet you."

Then Jude stuck out his little hand. It was his turn to have a handshake?

Of course it was! And Shard does shake his hand. It would be rude not to, after all. "The pleasure is mine."
