Shard shakes her head. "Not what I meant. I...want to go back to where I'm from." She pauses. "Erm. Where I was before." Which still isn't exactly right, but still.
"Sorry, I must have misheard you. Well. It's all right to want to leave. While you likely made friends...nothing can replace family. You shouldn't feel bad. But keep in mind you may have to start over anyways even with the support of your family."
"See, that's the problem. I'm not sure I can. It's a...thing." This Shard's never seen Doctor Who, so no breaking out the 'timey-whimey, wibbly-wobbly' thing. "But I want to, so I'm probably not settling in where I am properly."
"There are ways though. No reason to stop looking." Jess won't break out Time Lord speak. She's not very good at it. "But it's ok to make friends. Connect with people. Travling on your own can be...rough."
"Traveling on my own seems to work all right, most of the time. Space pirates don't pay attention to a single ship." She's from the future! Even farther ahead than she used to be. "But you're right. It can be pretty rough at that."
"Well. Try making friends. I hate to say it but...They might be willing to help out. Sure it'll feel like you're using them but I'm sure ou can repay them or their help somehow. That and you won't get lonly."
It's difficult to explain why it's hard, so Shard doesn't. Time travel is a bitch and she has trouble with it some days. "All right. I'll keep that in mind. Thank you."
