Another day, another timeflood victim

Oh dear, Small Child in the Nexus at six o'clock. At least this one isn't unnerved by all the oddness, and is just sitting on one of the sofas.

She does look slightly unsettled by something, though. Her fingers keep running through a bit of her hair, and she's giving it a worried look

"There's nothing absolutely wrong with red hair. Did somebody tell you there was?"

"No, not really. But...There's not a lot of other people around with it." Which is said before she really figures out who she's talking with.

"...Oh." She's looking quite stunned and surprised now, thank you.

She briefly laughs at the girl's expression. "Don't worry about it. Where I was growing up, real redheads were not very common so I can understand why you're asking."

It's sort of like laughing at a cat. Same bit of glaring, before sitting up a little straighter and trying very hard not to look like she minds or cares about it.

"Yeah...Well...I wish that it was more common. There's plenty of people with brown and black hair, so why not red, too?"

The girl's reaction to her laughing just makes her more amused. :3

"That has to do with genetics. I could go into a whole complicated spiel that's way too boring, or so my dad tells me. It's kinda surprising that I've seen so many people with red hair in this weird place. Only about 1% to 2% of the population are redheads but then, that's back home. Not...here."

Amusement can only be countered with more (failed) indifference! That is the way these things are done! >:|
