TIEMPLOT!

Something has started happening in the Nexus. Time here is an awkward thing at best, flowing faster or slower than in a given dimension, being manipulated to age or youthen visitors for a brief periods (or even permanently), but by and large its passage is ignored, as it often is anywhere else ( Read more... )

Alec (who only seemed to appear after one of those eddies of time swept by, wtf, Nexus) cocks his head to the side, watching the god's outburst ponderously before responding.

"Sorry to say, I haven't seen anyone like that. When did you last see them?"

As if that would make much of a difference with all the timey wimey stuff floating about, but Alec hasn't caught on to that just yet.

"Six hours ago, or so. They went out for groceries." What? You think Hephaistos himself is going to putter down to the Piggly Wiggly for milk and eggs? He's got robots for that sort of thing.

((HELLO! Sorry, I got Passover'd.))

Hey, it makes sense to Alec! He's done minute errands for his creator many a time.

"I guess you've already checked the grocery store, hm? Would there be a place they'd go if they couldn't find an item. Maybe... a wormhole opened up on the way between."

Hey, it's the Nexus. That's a totally plausible conjecture.

((For some reason, the term Passover'd conjures the mental image of someone getting hit over the head with unlevened bread. I DO NOT KNOW WHY. But hi. :D))

Oh, this is interesting. And a bit of a headache to consider. We have a tall, pale woman with straight black hair, red eyes--familiar red eyes if you know her--and wearing black billowy robes that seem to have an archaic, if off-the-shoulder type of design.

"I have not seen your creations, Lord Hephaistos of the--." Blink. "..Why in Dera's name do I know who you are?" She furrows her brow in obvious confusion.

By the way? She pings. Familiarly, just... a tad different. Perhaps a like an older model of the same device, to put it another way.

"Volcanoes are memorable. You should get out of the Nexus." Aaaand HE is going to see about sealing off his Forge, if this is an effect that's hitting GODS.

Well, he's a point there, although the tangled web that is her memory at the moment still has her confused as all fuck. She's Adora the First. She hasn't met him yet, why does she know him?

"Unfortunately, I cannot, being that I apparently know the.. knew the.." Augh, temporal grammar, "Will know the lay of the land, I am attempting to seek something that has been lost from my world because of this."

Spider-Man clings frantically to a Convenient Nexus Perch as it cycles rapidly through being a brick wall, a lamppost, a giant horsetail, the side of a pyramid, a sheer cliff, a skyscraper, the top of a bookshelf, a stalactite, a palm tree...

"Don't look at me! I don't even live here!" he calls up, meanwhile swatting at a hovering robot drone the size of his head. "Shoo, fly, don't bother me."

Akuma's still behind Heph, genteelly trying to hide his amusement. Never did like those wenches, especially when Heph foisted him off as pet teapot maker. Probably won't work, but it's the polite thing to do...

And the forge-god is not one for tolerating ill-timed impoliteness.

Stil, he does want to know. "Have they been known for doing such before?"

Well if Akuma can't even make a teapot that's up to snuff, Heph certainly isn't going to trust him with bigger projects. Although Akuma could probably nip off and make a full set of plate armor right now, Heph is distracted enough...

"Not unless I'd given them conflicting orders, no." One of the problems with having intelligent servants who don't quite have free will.

Just because he couldn't make one animate that liked pettings... But that's another story. "Perhaps a distraction from gathering supplies?"

...Okay, all this timegoofery is actually making him a little nervous for is folk. "Lord, I would some small time off, to check upon my woman and our newborn. Might I seek them out?" He does worry about Mai sometimes. Oh yes, and baby... Well, not really, but he knows he SHOULD.

The Aristan portal is still unaffected, but Luc's getting nervous. Almost sees why the others prefer to pull the Nexus-door-shift on their own side.

And oh my, if he was nervous already.

"...." Have some extremely deferential traditional body language. (On principle but additionally especially since, while they're Asasarame-PallasAthena-Minerva's first, the Aristan Foundling Guard are little pyromaniacs. But he'll have to stand up eventually. He's on duty.

"I haven't seen them, Hephaiste-Volcane, but I will certainly keep an eye out."

Heph gets along better with Athena than with any of the others, really, and a proper kow-tow is always nice, but right now he's in a grumpy mood.

"Good. Do so."
