Something Strange in the Nexushood

Aug 07, 2007 22:37

Suddenly, from a portal in the Nexus, hundreds of spirits come pouring out aimlessly. Where do they come from? Why are they here? Who knows, but an unlucky individual might just happen to provide the perfect host body for one of these confused -- or perhaps quite clear-thinking -- spirits. This could definitely prove to be problematic ( Read more... )

*Tetsuo's sacked out in some convenient Nexus corner. Sure, he tries not to fall asleep in here, but sometimes he just can't quite go the distance. Thankfully, his "fairly decent" amount of power should be able to keep spirits at bay. And if not, that stuffed toy snake he got as a birthday present - of which he's still blissfully unaware of who it is - will definitely ward them off.

The land dragon Kaori, however, is a different story. Right now, she's wrestling with her newest chew toy, a stuffed gray rabbit. Then, suddenly, her eyes go wide and she stops chewing on it. She makes a few awkward jerking moments, like she's suddenly lost control of her motor skills.

A moment later, she starts looking around the place. She spies her gigantic, squishy master and - shudders. After that, she makes a few strange noises, almost as if she's trying to speak...*

"Hee-goo-gurk!" Tucker blurts as he shudders erratically, overcome by something unseen. The episode passes and he straightens up and looks around at his surroundings, the surprise on his face hidden by the helmet's opaque visor.

"Now where the heck am I?" he wonders in a much more soft and sedate voice.

"Blarg?" Junior looks up at Tucker questioningly, who notices the young alien.

"Hey, now. Who would you be, little fellow?"

Fact 1: This is not Tucker's original suit of armour.

Fact 2: Tucker's original commander at Blood Gulch died under mysterious circumstances.

These two facts are somewhat related.

He fades in.

"What the-?"

Church vaguely remembers the tone of the voice... but where?

Surely you remember, Church. He hasn't forgotten you!

"Why, if isn't one of my most favorite privates in the whole Blue Army. How are you doing, son?"

Hiro looked around the Nexus - wearing a haphazard set of clothing he had to take to be decent after his last time-travel mishap (he hoped appearing in Feudal Japan doesn't really screw up the time line).

The man yelled something in Japanese as something hit him like a ton of bricks and he collapsed.

A few minutes later, he stirred, and he looked around, and frown. "This isn't Avalon," He muttered to himself. "And what in the blazes happened? Oh dear lord, I hope I can whip this form into proper shape for battle." The man in Hiro grumped as he then examined the katana. "No, this would never do, I need my proper sword!" And with that, he walked off.

Church is always wandering around aimlessly in the Nexus when he's there.
However for some reason he's pulled forcably into the Nexus via the spirit portal.

"What. The. Fuck."

At least it was more interesting than that stupid cell on Sidewinder.

Revan's just wandering in the Nexus when he staggers, grabbing ahold of a nearby chair to steady himself. He shakes his head. "What-?" he starts, voice sounding rougher than usual.

"Where in the name of Mandalore am I?"
