Or, actually, are you just dressed up like him? Your aura's different from the Spider-Man I've met before.

"Technically it's both. I am Spider-Man, but I'm dressed up like him. Long story short I'm not the one most people know and love, but I got the same powers he did. And being a total spider for a bit might help me learn how to use my powers better."
