"It's from the western zodiac. Somebody told me that's what I was, ages ago, and read some stupid description of what was supposed to happen to me that month. The logo was kinda cool, though. Two warring armies in the same person's silhouette."

Really? What happened to you that month?

Warring armies... ._. Does it mean you have a lot of inner turmoil?

"I'm a Taurus. I was also born under the chinese year of the Dog."

What's the difference between the Chinese year of the dog and the regular kind of year of the dog?

"Ah, none. I just usually don't think of my zodiac sign as the Chinese one. I'm more used to the Gemini, Taurus, Aries, and so on."

"It's a fun thing to check, but I don't put much stock in them since I've read some hilariously off horoscopes before."

"I think... maybe a sea otter since they're fuzzy, cute, and are able to swim to their hearts' content without having to trade out the lungs for gills."

:0 Like what?
I'm not very familiar with horoscopes.

Otters do seem nice! Do you dislike gills?

"Well, the first that comes to mind is one that told me that the month ahead would be filled with travel to distant lands and adventure. At the time I read it I was homebound with mono and stayed that way for about three weeks."

"I don't necessarily dislike them. It just gives me the willies to think what it would be like to have them." She does a wiggly little shudder dance, rubbing the side of her neck with one hand. "Do you know what you would be?"

I'm sorry to hear that... it's always inconvenient to have to cancel travel plans.

I really don't know. I'd probably end up as a snail or something. ^^()

"It doesn't work in my world, as far as I've been able to determine," Jeff shrugs. "I'm a Pisces, or if you prefer Chinese Astrology, Yin Wood Snake.

"That second one's harder." He looks thoughtful for a moment. "Being a rat wasn't so bad, but I think if I had a choice I'd prefer something a bit higher on the food chain. Maybe an owl?"

What do you mean by 'work'?

I didn't know you had been a rat! Have you told me that before?
I like owls' ears.

"I mean it doesn't give an accurate assessment of personality, and it doesn't predict the future," he explains. "Astrologers claim it can do all sorts of things and well...it doesn't. It's mostly just guessing and vague generalizations. It might actually do something in other places though."

"Come to think of it, I don't think I have! This was a couple of months ago. I found an old toy that was dishing out random LOLs to people. I got turned into a rat for about a week. I hid under the couch for a while, and then I stayed at Kaa's until I changed back. It was actually a really interesting experience." He chuckles. "Sometimes I miss having a good sense of smell."

"Did you know that owls are completely silent when they fly?"

That's just the kind of thing you'd expect a stubborn Snake to say... >__>

Did you get to meet up with any other rats? Actually, do they have rats in the Jungle? *frown*

No! But I heard they can turn their heads upside down and paralyze people.

"Well, I'd say it's a load of bunk, if not for the fact that it usually seems about right. I'm a Sagittarius."

"Astrology in general is, I guess. The star-sign descriptions usually fit the people who fall under them," she says.

"Sagittarius is from the western zodiac, based on a centaur archer constellation. People who fall under it are usually adventurous and seekers of justice, among other things."

How mysterious. Are people who were born in the same year, or around the same time of year, really that similar? :o

Ah, that sounds nice. ^^
