Alec's sitting on one the back of one of couches rolling a gas canister around in his hands. For those that were around about a year ago, they may recognize the canister as one containing Mary Sue gas. The fact that it's bright pink might help with that

Lina doesn't get that whole 'Laws are for everyone' thing. Like.. it's okay to rob bandits, because bandits rob other people, who cares about them. >_>

"... Well, L-sama hasn't told me 'no' yet. Might just be because I work directly in her field, and don't have a reason to do something she wouldn't want."

Lina, not cause chaos and destruction, even if only accidentally? Say it isn't so!

"Oh, nope. I prefer 'Oh shiny treasure' though sometimes that does the same thing, I guess. I've done kind of stupid things to get ahead/get shinies, but... Usually not 'omg stupid'."

"Well, yeah, if you're not doing anything against what the god wants, then I doubt that they'd say no. Though I imagine there might be one time."

Alec understands that completely. He rolls the canister around a few more times.

"'Oh shiny treasure' is a good one. It wouldn't omg stupid, so much as an omg I'm going to kill you, stupid"

"I'd be really sad. That's why I like being a human; so I can help people."

Shoebag laughs. "Actually yeah. Most of the time, it ends up being fun."

"I like helping people too. Which is why this is frustrating."

He tosses up the canister and catches it. "It does, doesn't it?"

He eyes the canister cautiously. "That isn't 'bug spray', is it?"

"No, it's not."

In answer to your first: if I really truly wish to do something, I do it. No matter the opposition.

And as for the second, it would depend on what it was I could do and what it would gain me.

"Hello, Captain," he gives Hook a pleasant smile. "I'd do that too, normally. And... it would gain you some amusement. And get you into a lot of trouble."

Sometimes boredom is such a terrible disease that any trouble would seem to add spice, not detract from the experience.

Please don't encourage him. He doesn't need any more encouragement. He's already had three other people encourage him.

"Yeees... you would think that." He gives the canister a toss, "But then there's the aftermath of the trouble, which I'm not sure I'd care to deal with."

Not like he could recognize the cannister anyway. Alec doesn't care about blind people. B| He's squatting on the ground, zoned out, until he suddenly snaps his head to face Alec.

"Then there is a reason why, of course."

He doesn't answer the other question.

"It's not a good reason." He's completely unfazed by the sudden head snappage. "I could have helped them and stopped their suffering."

"But is it your place to decide? Who sanctions you?"
