Sarah is in the Nexus again, but she doesn't look quite like herself. Perhaps it's the disheveled state of her hair and clothes, or that she's splattered with a slick black fluid

A teenaged girl with wings and so much glitter on she could be a disco ball really isn't out of place in the Nexus. Trucy pauses at the question, and her usually perky, bouncy demeanor is toned down.
"Well, depends. Do you have any way to stop their telekinesis? How do they act? Slow and shambly, or fast and bity, Auntie Sarah?"
"No, not really. Daniel certainly doesn't, and he needs the most protection. They're not slow or fast, they move like humans, except when the levitate..." Wait a minute, wait a minute. Auntie Sarah?
Trucy thinks. "Do they have the same weaknesses as most humanoid things?" And then the winged girl blinks back.
... If Sarah looks really hard, she might think that Trucy looks a liiittle bit like Mel. "Um. Yeah. You used to b- oh. You're from the same 'verse where Mom and Dad haven't started to date yet, huh?" she looks down, a bit like a kicked puppy. "Sorry."
She shakes her head. "They don't feel pain. The bodies are just vessels. You have to get them in the head to kill them."
She peers at Trucy. Something is very familiar about this girl, and wondering about it is better than dwelling on the situation back home. "Do I know your parents, dear?" An improbable Nexus child, eh?
"Like regular zombies, but without the telekinetic-ness and stuff... Lots of guns and ammo?" she says.
Trucy fidgets. There might be something distinctly familiar with the fidgeting. "You might know Mom? Um. She was horrified to hear I existed, though, and so was Dad."
Sarah frowns a little. "I don't know how to shoot a gun. I don't think Daniel does either. The last thing we need are stray bullets."
She moves closer to Trucy, trying not to look scary, although the knives are a little intimidating. "I might..." she replies softly. She eyes the wings. "Although I don't understand why your parents wouldn't want to see you. You're beautiful."
Trucy blushes brightly. Trucy has seen her mother when she was angry and protective, so Sarah isn't all that scary. "Thank you. But Dad's in love with somebody who isn't Mom, and Mom's still jailbait age, so..." a shrug, she shifts her wings and gets glitter and sparkles on the floor. The blush still hasn't gone away.
Sarah resists the urge to pet Trucy's wings. They remind her of Orwell's feathers. "It's all right, dear." Her eyes widen slightly in recognition. "Oh... oh my. Is Melinda your mother?"
Trucy wouldn't mind wing-petting. She likes getting her wings scritched and petted. Sarah might get sparkles on her, though. She bites her lip and nods. "Yeah. She's my Mom. You, or uh, our Sarah used to babysit me and Clare when we were little. Clare is my brother." She nodnodnods.
Sarah smiles warmly. She can set aside her current troubles for this bit of pleasant news. "Was I a good babysitter?" And a brother, too! Looks like at least one version of Melinda settled down. "And... who's your father, if you don't mind me asking?"
"Yep! You'd make us stuff to eat and keep us out of trouble. Mom and Dad had a lot of babysitters for us, in case somebody was busy. Um, there's that saying, takes a village to raise a child? Or something?" There was definetly a lot of help in raising the two.
"My dad's Orion. I don't know if you met him yet."
"Sounds like something I'd do." She reaches out and pats the girl's shoulder, sending up a cloud of glitter. She shakes her head at the mention of Orion's name, looking a little disappointed. "No, I don't think I have. Mel might have mentioned him." Hmm. She'd have to look more into this Orion fellow.
She grins a little when she gets patted. "We get the wings from Dad. I can make them dissappear, but not always." The blonde is less fidgety now. Sarah reacted better than Mel and Orion did.
Hey, she's not Sarah's improbable Nexus baby! She can see more of Mel in Trucy, not that she's talked to her for a little while. "Well, you look lovely with or without them." She remembers why she's in the Nexus in the first place and sighs softly. "If... no, when things go back to normal in my city, I'd love for you and your brother to visit your 'Auntie Sarah'." She doesn't dare ask if there's an 'Uncle Daniel'.
Clarence is more like his father, Trucy is more like her mother. Both are spazzy, energetic trouble-makers. "Cool! I'll tell Clare. If he's not flirting with girls. He keeps his wings out all the time because 'the girls like them'. And thank you." she blushes at the 'lovely' comment.
"You're welcome, dear." She strokes Trucy's hair in a motherly sort of way. "Just, for your parents' sake, try to stay out of trouble. The Nexus can be a lot of fun, but things can go wrong very quickly."
"Well, depends. Do you have any way to stop their telekinesis? How do they act? Slow and shambly, or fast and bity, Auntie Sarah?"
She looks kinda worried.
