"Fire..." her expression grows distant before she nods. "That might work, if they burned fast enough. They don't feel pain unless the alien itself is injured.
"And how are you, Alec? I hope the Inn is doing well." She tries to smile in a friendly, social sort of way.
"Flame throwers are a person defending against an army of zombie horde's best friend," he says with a grin, "And I know where to get some for you, if you need em."
"I'm doing all right. The Inn's weathered most of the damage with no harm done, but it has protections against these sorts of things."
Sarah absently wipes some of the black stuff off her skirt. "Something that could spray water would be helpful, too. Their bodies are vulnerable to water and sunlight. Of course, they made the sun disappear..."
She shakes her head a little. "Oh no, that's fine. There are messes everywhere, it'll be all right." Except her house is gone. And her car. And the man she loves is intentionally putting himself in harm's way.
Alec gets a thoughtful look on his face, "I could grab some endless waterskins... know were a few of those are, maybe some wands of daylight, Mel could use them."
