"WHAT THE FUCKING SHIT."

He's dressed casual, which is good, as there are tidbits of boiled shrimp.
All over him.

"I've tried to go home FOUR TIMES NOW and ALL I GET IS FUCKING SHRIMP. WHICH ONE OF YOU DID THIS."

He's trying to play it off macho, but underneath?
He's scared as hell.

Alyx eyes the shrimp adorning his person with some curiosity. "Your home portal's redirecting to a...a shrimp farm?" she inquires. Although that doesn't explain the boiling. A side effect of the inter-dimensional transition, perhaps.

"No, a dimension of shrimp. Full of them, far as the eye can see. I've been there before. And it's not just my home portal- it's any portal."

"That's weird. Not the shrimp thing so much as you being somehow... locked into it or-" She can't help it. She's got to try or it'll bug her to the end of her days.

She plucks a shrimp off of him, one that looks clean enough and pops it in her mouth, chewing and swallowing. "...You haven't touched or approached anything particularly unusual? Or seen a dimension of cocktail sauce?"

(( In Angel, when Fred's first possessed by the goddess, the goddess tells of her travels: 'WE traveled through a myriad of dimensions. We even traveled through one that was full of nothing but shrimp.' *a beat's pause* 'we did not stay there for long.' I was gorging on Buffy a while back and I THINK Anya mentions it as well, somewhere in her first season as the post-demonic Anya. ))

(( And lemme slightly rephrase that: I THINK it was Anya who mentioned it, and I'm about 90% sure that it was in season 4 or 5 that it got mentioned. It does get mentioned in Buffy, though! Yes, it's completely bizarre. ))

"I've been there before, seems like I go there whenever I'm trying to get to another dimension in a panic." He looks at the shrimp bit she plucks off- they ALL look clean, it's like someone just dropped him into a vat of freshly-boiled shrimp.

"It seems like other people are having trouble, too. And I've never seen it, but Eiko thinks there is a dimension of cocktail sauce."
