*There's a new, yet strangely dressed person, in the Nexus today. Looking around the area silently, he's come from back from the dead for this one day: to ask a question, no less ( Read more... )

"I've heard of the Embryon. Why are you looking for them?"

Sorry, she doesn't trust random people showing up and asking about friends.

"Honour is much more than a word, it's hard to define, but it has to do with sticking to a choice but still being willing to reevaluate it."

"It is a long story, but I will be brief with my explanation. I'm a friend of theirs who died a long time ago. I have come back to see them this last time, since I have been given the opportunity."

*He keeps that serious gaze of his on Lan, in an attempt to show her that's he not lying. That's all he can do to prove his truthfulness.*

"That is an interesting outlook on the word. I too believe that honor is more than just a word, and that it represents something greater."

"Fair enough. Welcome to the Nexus. The Embryon do visit this place, most of them live elsewhere. They've started to rebuild in a new home. They're doing well here." Just in case they don't make it in time -- who knows how long they've got -- it's important to reassure this man.

"Thank you. I know it's important to keep your word, but it's just as important to be able to realise that things can change and so to must one's outlook. I've been wrong about a great many things and will likely continue to do so."

She tilts her head back just a little, it's the equivalent to a bow, "I'm Lan Abhaya. Welcome to the Nexus."

"Thank you for sharing that information with me. It is good to know that they have made it out of the Junkyard. Nexus, you say? Then I guess this is not Nirvana, like I imagined." *He gives the area a glance, wondering if anyone he knows will shows up.*

"Change is inevitable, and thus we should be willing to accept or decline it. At least, that I what I learned in the Junkyard. That and the value of honor. But I will not tell of that place while I am here."

*He bows gratefully to her, as his own gesture.* "My name is Lupa. It is good to meet you, Lan Abhaya."

. . . To use a cliche -- albeit, a very appropriate one -- Gale looks like he's seen a ghost.

The name comes out before he even realizes it. "Lupa."

*And Lupa is quick to notice that Gale is standing close by to him. He just nods calmly, smiling to his fellow comrade. Indeed, it's a very overdue reunion.*

"Gale. I'm glad that we could get the chance to see each other again."

"I . . . yes." Gale? At a loss for words? Just a little. He takes a deep breath.

"I am glad to see you, too, Lupa. Very glad. But . . . how did you . . . ? I'm sorry, but I do not understand."

"I can explain everything, Gale. After I died in the Junkyard, I was somehow given the offer to come back here." *With one hand, he gestures towards a blimp which has settled itself in the Nexus.*

"I wished to return so that I could see Nirvana and the Embryon, but I have found that this is not paradise. However, I am happy to see that you are doing well."

*Lupa notices this strangely familiar child approaching him, and like Fred, he fins himself walking closer. Once he catches sight of the boy, he gets down on one knee.* "And who might you be?"

*Lupa extends one hand slowly, placing it on Fred's shoulder calmly. He just gives the boy a smile, before speaking up again.* "Fred...That name seems familiar to me. But it is a good name for you. I can se it in your eyes, that you carry much honor."

*He seems surprised by this sudden apology.* "Do not worry, there is no need for you to apologize. You have done nothing wrong."

"I've met a few, but mostly in the Nexus." And has the PINpoint address to one's apartment, but as Shard doesn't know this guy? Not a chance. "I'm sure that somebody will show up sooner or later."

She pauses, thinking about the question. "Honor is more than a word to me, but I'm not sure I can explain it."

"I see. So then, this Nexus place will be my best chance to find them then. I thank you for your information, as it helps me greatly." *He bows lightly to Shard.*

"That is alright. Sometimes actions speak louder than words, am I right? As long as one knows what honor feels like, then no explanation is needed." *He nods, giving her a very calm smile.*

"You're welcome." Shard smiles and bows back, though hers isn't as good. "Most likely. The Nexus is pretty good about things like that. I think it comes with being a crossroads of realities."

She chuckles softly. "I believe so. I prefer actions to words, mostly. Actions don't lie."

"It is a very different place. And yes, I hope to find these comrades of mine before I run out of time." *He looks confidently at her.* "This is my one chance to see them again."

"Indeed. I agree very much with your opinion. You seem to be a very honorable person as well."

"A famous guy on a movie once said, 'A man's got his honor and his balls, and he should break 'em for nobody,' or something like that. It holds true."
