Happy Dia De Los Muertos!

From the mists, a huge zeppelin suddenly appears, slowly descending to the ground. There's an eery, otherworldy feel to it, as if it were ethereal without actually being so. Upon landing, a door opens in the gondola, and out emerges a skeleton. He is jovial in appearance, with colorful markings on his face that indicate his nature as a calavera ( Read more... )

Having mercifully showered away the cowboy dust and changed clothes, Junior is suprised to see someone else still in costume here. At least, he hopes it's a mask.

"Yo," he offers, haltingly, a little tired, but easygoing. "I think Hollister's is more of a drinking spot, this place is mostly social, far as I've seen."

Hey, sounds like a great idea! Thanks, kid! You living folks ain't half bad -- but then, if I didn't like you guys, I wouldn't keep driving folks in for the Day of the Dead anyway.

Living. Dead. Ulp. Okay. He's staying pretty cool, since this place has already thrown him a number of curveballs, of course, this shouldn't be any suprise.

"Day Of The Dead, huh?" He swallows, imperceptibly, brow narrowing. "Pretty popular holiday, I guess. Good to know we're likeable. ... What's the best thing, ya think?"

Ah, it's gotta be the life. All that sorta hopeful thinking. There's a lotta goons down there that've more or less given up on really livin', ya know! But here! Oh man, the food, the sounds, the smells... great stuff, buddy, great stuff. But I only get to come once a year, so I gotta eat it up while I can.

"Well, that explains a lot. So much for the idea of bringing offerings of food and drink with ya. But hey, everyone deserves a vacation."

Junior is rather wishing for a chance at the bar himself. "You probably get this one a lot. When you say... 'down there'. Is it the one that corresponds to this dimensional intersection, or-rrrr...?"

Nice, open-ended, and casual, or so he'd like to think.

What? Oh, nah, none 'a that "heaven 'n hell" stuff. Well, not 'till you get to the end of the line, anyway. Then you'd better hope you've been doing some good stuff somewhere along that four year journey, because MAAAAAN it gets hot.

Me, I'm kinda happy just staying in the land of the dead. I mean, moving on is well and good, but I ain't ready to settle down just yet.

Always good to keep active.
