Bad Day

Jul 25, 2006 01:42

Again, our beloved Captain Jack has appeared in the Nexus looking absolutely perplexed by the obscene amounts of water. His usual swagger has been abandoned for the exaggerated, irritable waddle he uses to cut through the damning depths, doing his best to lift his feet over the water. Hands well over his head and cradling an open bottle of rum, ( Read more... )

Most people have.

You aren't responsible for all this damn water, are you?

Jack jerks back slightly, narrowing his eyes and lifting his hands lazily to about chest level OH SO THREATENINGLY.

"An' what if I am?"

If you are, I'll have to throw down with you.

After I've found Eiko. Or someone who can give me a vaccine for the G-Virus....

"Bloody forward around 'ere."

Jack eyes Otto as if the prospect of having sex with him were realistic in wake of the apparent offer.

"It would appear your ship's set sail, old man. 'ave you a daughter?"

"Yesterday could count for such."

Of course, the young man is edging around a patch of moonlight coming in one window.

Jack takes second looks at the bottle as the amber liquid floats languidly out of the open mouth. Maybe it wouldn't taste so bad. As it were, he says rather preoccupiedly:

"Go on, lad."

Thads tips an imaginary glass, rolls his eyes, and steps into the moonlight. VOOSH.

Cue a spit-take on the pirate's part. He's seen *that* before, to be certain.

"Well isn't that darling?"

Jack purses his lips and squints, trying to confirm for himself that what he's seen and what he's seeing are quite the same. Not to say that what he's seen and what he's seeing couldn't be, seeing to the fact that what he's seen is quite rare and not at all unlike what he's seeing. Yes, this is how Jack Sparrow thinks. And it makes sense to him.

"Greed is a cruel mistress, innit?"

"Yeah."

Sniff!

"You smell like booze and vomit. Kinda like my dad."

A fresh piece of meat young lady! Jack smiles swarthily and looks her up and down.

"Charming. Where might daddy-dearest be, love?"

"Not here, thank god." She's too relieved to be gone from home to notice Jack checking her out.

Oh man, there is going to be trouble when she does.

"Aye."

No guard-dog daddy to worry about. Check. He moves closer, not deterred by the sloshing water about his legs and how it might alarm her to his approach.

"Thank God."

"Oh god yes - too many times," Indiana thought - wait six months and he'll give you a list of bad days.

Naturally, Jack feels one-upped by the other strapping, rough-and-tumble man. He puffs out his chest and waves his hand about, gesturing haughtily with a tone to match.

"Aye. I know better than most."

Lan holds up her whiteboard. [YES ;_; ]

The whiteboard goes unnoticed as Jack /leaps/ over the nearest couch, scrambling to unsheathe his blade. Too bloody good to be true. Come to the Nexus to avoid Davy Jones and he shows up red in the face with a little bit of water. Once he's got his sword out, Jack peers up over the couch again. It's a tentacleface, but not the one he's thinking of. He hunches forward and STARES from between two black-lined eyes.

"Wha's wrong with your head?"

Shame on you, Jack Sparrow! You've made a lady cry.

Lan cringes and hides behind something, holding up the whiteboard for him to read. [Cursed. I won't hurt you.]--flip--[It's Lan.]

Nothing new. Swash, swash, buckle, buckle. It's in the job description. Leave 'em preggers or crying. Both if you can.

"Snake-Lan?"

It's less of a question and more of an accusation, marked by the pointing of two extended fingers. He clearly couldn't choose which one to use. That or he couldn't manage to lift one or the other.

"I find the old look a bit more flattering, love."
